Los Guíos beach, calm sea and spectacular views

Los Guíos Beach is perfect for a swim and enjoy the views of the huge volcanic rock walls: Los Acantilados de Los Gigantes.

The sea is calm and there is no wind or currents, as it is sheltered by the marina on one side and the cliffs on the other. It is an ideal beach to enjoy alone or with the whole family.

It is a Blue Flag awarded beach. The “Blue Flag” recognition was created in France in 1985 by the European Foundation for Environmental Education (FEEE), with the aim of rewarding those beaches that “meet a series of environmental, educational, safety and accessibility criteria”.

Therefore, it is a high quality beach, both for its waters and for its services and equipment. It has a surveillance post, lifeguard service and, of course, lifeguards. It is also accessible for disabled people (including parking spaces).

From the marina you will see kayak excursions along the cliffs and even boats for whale watching in Los Gigantes. Dare to try them to make the most of your visit!

The beach is next to the village of Los Gigantes, which has a wide variety of restaurants and small supermarkets and stores.

Although there is atmosphere, it is a quiet area where you can find accommodation in both apartments and hotels if you want to spend a few days of vacation.

If you want to explore the surroundings, we recommend you to visit the famous area of the beach and ravine of Masca, as well as the Punta de Teno.

Just in case, check out the Playa de Los Guíos webcam to see the weather before you go.
