The Los Gigantes marina is located in a special area of conservation, a site of marine importance in the Macaronesian biogeographic region of the Natura 2000 Network. It is the so-called Teno-Rasca marine strip, in the municipality of Santiago del Teide and next to the Teno Rural Park.
